BLOOMFIELD -- Funeral service for Burley W. Parker of Bloomfield will be held at 1 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home, with the Rev. Greg Greason officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery near Puxico.
Parker, 85, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 1996, at Bloomfield.
He was born Dec. 23, 1910, in Piggott, Ark., son of William Thomas and Evelyn MacFatridge Parker. He and Maudie White were married Dec. 24, 1936, in Waterloo, Ill.
Parker was retired from McCabe Powers Truck Body Plant in St. Louis. He moved to Bloomfield in April 1979.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Darrell Layman of St. Peters; a daughter, Ruth Menard of DuQuoin, Ill.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
