DEXTER -- Burl Dee Clark, 66, of Dexter, died Wednesday, June 19, 1991, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.

He was born Oct. 1, 1924, in Hagerville, Ark., son of Henry Albert and Mary Alice Johnson Clark. He and Tinia Abernathy were married March 30, 1952, at Morley.

Clark retired in 1984 as an auto line inspector at General Motors in St. Louis. He was a retired member of United Auto Workers Local 25 in St. Louis. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; three brothers, Glover Clark of Cape Girardeau, Melvin Clark of Ecorse, Mich., Dan Clark of Chaffee; three sisters, Hazel Storm of Vanduser, Fay Cook of Independence, and Myrtle Proctor of Omaha, Neb.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Jim Matthews will officiate, with burial in New Morley Cemetery at Morley.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
