Funeral service for Bulah May Wood of Chicago, formerly of Cape Girardeau, will be held at 11 a.m. today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Edward E. Young will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 9-11 a.m.
Wood, 83, died Saturday, May 29, 1993, at Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
She was born May 24, 1910, in Pemiscot County, daughter of Albert and Charsley Patterson Pitts. She and Roy Wood were married May 24, 1930, at New Madrid. He died in 1953.
Wood had worked at Cape Osteopathic Hospital and at Arkansas Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. She was a member of Gospel Assembly Church.
She is survived by a brother, Charley Pitts of Phoenix, Ariz.
A sister preceded her in death.
