SIKESTON, Mo. — Arnold Randolph "Bud" Myers of Sikeston went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2022. He was a resident of Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau at the time of his passing. He was born Dec. 19, 1933, in Washington, Indiana, son of the late Arnold Wesley and Bessie Charlotta Myers. SIKESTON, Mo. — Arnold Randolph "Bud" Myers of Sikeston went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2022.

He was a resident of Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau at the time of his passing.

He was born Dec. 19, 1933, in Washington, Indiana, son of the late Arnold Wesley and Bessie Charlotta Myers. On June 11, 1955, he married Myra Propst Myers in Sikeston. She preceded him in death May 19, 2004.

Bud graduated from Purdue University in 1961. After serving in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, he settled in Indiana for many years, then moved to Sikeston in 1973. He retired from Triangle PWC in 1999. After retirement, he enjoyed traveling, camping, woodworking, hunting, fishing and spending time with friends and family.

Survivors include one son, Randy (Kim) Myers of Sikeston; daughter, Pam (Clint) Stephens of Advance, Missouri; three grandchildren, Laura (Brian) Blissett of Sikeston, Alicia (Dan) Pitts of Dallas and Preston (Delaney) Arnold of Austin, Texas; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Bud was also preceded in death by two brothers, Sam and Rex Myers; and two sisters, Alice Gray and Lodena Summers.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at the funeral home, with Eric McGruder officiating. Burial will follow in Sikeston Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Eugene Nolen, Brian Blissett, Gabriel Blissett, David Alsobrook, Tom Alsobrook and Preston Arnold.
