MENFRO -- August J. "Bud" Moldenhauer, 91, of Menfro died Thursday, Nov. 6, 1997, at his home.
He was born Jan. 12, 1906, in Perry County, son of John and Emma Gerstacker Moldenhauer. He and Virda Horn were married June 3, 1933.
Moldenhauer had farmed, and owned and operated Moldenhauer Alfalfa Mill. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church at Crosstown.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Melvin and Richard Moldenhauer of Perryville; three sisters, Edna Shortt and Gladys Moldenhauer of Sun City, Ariz., Alma "Doll" Kahmke of Florissant; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 3-9 p.m. today, and Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to noon.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Zion Church, with the Rev. Robert Schneider officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery at Perryville.
