Wilbert Albert "Bud" Ervin, 77, 2554 Masters, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Jan. 8, 1920, at Jackson, son of Albert Wilson and Grace Marie Mullins Ervin. He and Margie T. Brennan were married June 30, 1939, in Cape Girardeau.

Ervin was owner of Ervin's Air Conditioning and Heating from 1965 until retiring in 1984. He was a member of Maple United Methodist Church, served as chairman of trustees, and also had been a member of the administrative board. He was a former member of Refrigeration Service Engineers Society.

He was a graduate of Rankin Technical School in St. Louis. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Charles Ervin of Festus; a daughter, Patricia Williams of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Wilma Meisenheimer of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today, and Saturday from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Funeral service will be at Maple United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. John M. Gregory officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
