CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Funeral service for Bryan Eugene Fort, 3429 Glenview, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Wesley Rider will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.

Fort, 25 years old, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 1991, in Cooper-Green Community Hospital in Palmerdale, Ala., from injuries received in a work-related accident near Birmingham, Ala.

He was born Oct. 27, 1965, at Mexico, Mo., son of Gene and Shirley Owen Fort.

Fort was a lead man three years with Southern Broadcasting Co. in Alabaster, Ala., a firm that constructs communication towers. He previously worked at Mohorc Tire Co. here two years. He was of the Baptist faith, and member of Eagles Aerie 3775.

Survivors include a son, Ryan Fort of Cape; father and stepmother, Gene and Cheryl Fort of Wellsville; mother and stepfather, Shirley and Irvin Bentley of Cape; four brothers, Kevin Bentley of Loudon, Tenn., Steve Fort of Wellsville, Clint Bentley of Cape, Charles Rice of Koeltztown; three sisters, Cindy Ainsworth of Cape, Cheryl Knapp of West Palm Beach, Fla., Tracey Stuhlman of Summerville, S.C.; grandparents, Ted and Erma Fort of Wellsville, Grace Owen of Troy, Mary Bentley of Montgomery City, Helen Talbott of Vandalia, and a friend, Robin Lamb of Cape Girardeau.
