PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Bruce O. Yamnitz, 65, of Perryville died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born Jan. 18, 1946, in Peoria, Ill., son of Vernard E. and Grace Jo Long Yamnitz. Mr. Yamnitz was retired from Chrysler, and farmed in both livestock and agriculture. PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Bruce O. Yamnitz, 65, of Perryville died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Jan. 18, 1946, in Peoria, Ill., son of Vernard E. and Grace Jo Long Yamnitz.

Mr. Yamnitz was retired from Chrysler, and farmed in both livestock and agriculture. He was a member of Riverhills Antique Tractor Club and United Auto Workers Union.

Survivors include his mother of Perryville; five brothers and two sisters, Everett (Vida) Yamnitz of Perryville, James Yamnitz and special friend Lona Lashley of High Ridge, Mo., Olive D. Yamnitz, Celesta (Lawrence) Kiefer, Keith Yamnitz and special friend Robyn Roy, Barry Yamnitz and Bryan Yamnitz, all of Perryville.

He was preceded in death by his father and a son, Mark Yamnitz.

Friends may call from 8 a.m. until service time Thursday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Anne Saegesser officiating.

Memorials are preferred to American Heart Association, Perry County Advocates for Individuals with Disabilities or Riverhills Antique Tractor Club.
