Brian Henry Dalton, 45, of Granada Hills, Calif., died suddenly Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2005, at his home. He was born May 2, 1960, in Cape Girardeau, son of Clarence and Mary Ann Dalton. Brian Henry Dalton, 45, of Granada Hills, Calif., died suddenly Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2005, at his home.

He was born May 2, 1960, in Cape Girardeau, son of Clarence and Mary Ann Dalton.

Dalton received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University in 1982, and graduated from St. Louis University Law School in 1993.

He practiced law briefly in St. Louis, then moved to Southern California where he resumed his career in insurance claims, working for Fireman's Fund and most recently Farmer's Insurance Group. He held many positions and leadership roles and most recently was commercial claims office manager in Westlake Village, Calif.

Survivors include his wife, Pearl; two sons, Sam Dalton of St. Louis, Junior Dalton of the home; a daughter, Juanita Dalton of the home; three brothers, Bruce Dalton of Arlington, Texas, Bill Dalton of St. Louis, and David Dalton of O'Fallon, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A prayer service will be held at 1 p.m. today at Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary in Mission Hills, Calif. Burial will be in San Fernando Mission Cemetery in Mission Hills.
