HOT SPRINGS, Ark. -- Bret D. Raney, 53, of Hot Springs died Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at his home.

He was born Jan. 27, 1958, in Pine Bluff, Ark.

Raney was employed by Affiliated Engineers. He was of the Baptist belief.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, John and Oma Raney and Elizabeth and Myron Kelley.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Raney of Hot Springs; father, Jack Raney (Valerie) of St. Louis; mother, Carolyn Jones (Bill) of Benton, Ark.; a sister, Janai Kennedy (Mike) of Benton; a nephew, Austin Kennedy of Benton.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce, Ark.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Nick Flowers officiating. Burial will be in Stoney Point Cemetery.
