EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Brenda Louise Shewmaker, 52, of East Prairie died Thursday, June 3, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. She was born March 21, 1952, in East Prairie, daughter of Syrus and Louise Manning Redfering. She lived all her life in East Prairie and was employed by the Gates Rubber Co. in Charleston until ill health forced her to retire last fall...

EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Brenda Louise Shewmaker, 52, of East Prairie died Thursday, June 3, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born March 21, 1952, in East Prairie, daughter of Syrus and Louise Manning Redfering. She lived all her life in East Prairie and was employed by the Gates Rubber Co. in Charleston until ill health forced her to retire last fall.

Survivors include a daughter, Kimberly Lambert of Malden, Mo.; a son, Shawn Shewmaker of Lawton, Okla.; a brother, Jimmy Redfering of East Prairie; two sisters, Wanda Whybark of East Prairie and Becky Sickery of Sikeston, Mo.; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at 7 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Gaylord Grindstaff officiating. Burial will be in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
