DEXTER, Mo. -- Brenda Rolwing, daughter of the late Richard Caldwell and Dorothy Rowe Caldwell, was born Nov. 5, 1949, at Frisco, Missouri, and departed this life in the Saint Francis Medical Center on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at the age of 67 years.

Brenda was a former secretary at St. Henry's Catholic Church and School, a former clerk at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri, and a former librarian at the Sikeston Public Library.

She was raised in the Pyletown Community and was a 1967 graduate of Dexter Senior High School.

She was united in marriage to Donald Rolwing on July 3, 1993, at Sikeston. He survives of the home in Sikeston.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Jason Pounds (Andrea Burnett) of Sikeston; a daughter, Laura LaPorte of Southaven, Mississippi; a stepson, Codi Rolwing of Matthews, Missouri; a brother, Michael Caldwell of Sikeston; and six grandchildren, Kendall Pounds, Logan LaPorte, Kennedy LaPorte, Gage Rolwing, Banks Rolwing and Bennett Rolwing.

Visitation was held Monday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. today at the funeral chapel. Interment will follow in the Texas Bend Cemetery near Charleston, Missouri.
