BRENDA K. STANBACK

CHARLESTON -- Brenda Kaye Stanback, 47, of Charleston, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 1995, at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Ill.

She was born June 3, 1948, in Kansas City, daughter of Eli and Sarah Swope Johnson. She and Jesse Eugene Stanback were married Nov. 13, 1965. He died Jan. 7.

Survivors include four sons, Travis and Orrice Stanback of Charleston, Thomas Stanback of Jefferson City, Keith Stanback of Nashville, Tenn.; four daughters, Valerie Wooks, Tycie, Sarah and Brittany Stanback of Charleston; two brothers, Donald Ray and Bobby Hopkins of Cairo; three sisters, Dorothy Strong of Evanston, Ill., Rose Gonzales of Cairo, Ill., Brenda Hopkins of Thebes, Ill., and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and grandson.

Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home from 8-9 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Mercy Seat Baptist Church, with the Rev. Lester Williams officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
