ALTENBURG, Mo. -- Brenda S. Borgfield, 71, of Altenburg went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 17, 1945, in Dresden, Missouri, daughter of Rudolph and Louise (Weibrecht) Lorenz.
She and Glen E. Borgfield were married Sept. 4, 1965. He survives in Altenburg.
She was a retired loan supervisor at Communication Credit Union in Kansas City, Missouri.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, past member of Altenburg Homemakers, an Avon representative for 38 years and an East Perry County Senior Center hostess in Altenburg.
She loved to do gardening, canning and raising flowers.
Survivors include a son and a daughter, Corina (Borgfield) Henderson of Altenburg and Glen E. Borgfield II and his fiance, Michelle McClure, of Perryville, Missouri, and eight grandchildren, Connor and Claire Henderson, Joshua Gunter, Cierra, Gage and Matthew Borgfield and Myles and Maya McClure.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Naomi "Mutz" Koch and Carol Haertling; and a brother, Delbert Lorenz.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Friday at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg.
She then will be taken to Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg for a funeral service at 10 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Steven Dressler officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to East Perry County Senior Center, Saxony Lutheran High School Ag Building Fund or East Perry County Helicopter Pad Fund.
