OLMSTED, Ill. -- Brad Rushing, 19, of Olmsted died Thursday, Dec. 27, 1990 in a car-truck collision on Highway 37, three miles south of Olmsted.
He was returning home from work at CG&B Grain Company in Mound City when the accident occurred.
Rushing was a 1989 graduate of Meridian High School and a member of Caladonia Baptist Church in Olmsted.
He is survived by his mother and step father, Cheryl and Gary Stephens, of Olmsted; one sister, Leah Rushing, Olmsted; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe George, Olmsted; his paternal grandmother, Mary Louise Rushing, Villa Ridge; and his maternal great-grandmother Beatrice Racey, West Frankfort.
His father, Lynn Rushing, preceded him in death in 1977. His grandfather, Ray Rushing, also preceded him in death in 1982.
Funeral service will be held today at 2 p.m. at Crain Funeral Home in Mounds with the Rev. Bob Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery at Cypress.
Visitation was held Saturday at the funeral home.
