Bonnie Geraldine Moxey, 73, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 1, 1928, at St. Louis, daughter of Floyd E. and Clara Jane Laney Patton. She and Ken Moxey were married Dec. 25, 1946, at St. Louis.
Mrs. Moxey was an active member of First Baptist Church and WMU and taught Sunday School. She taught at Southeast Missouri State University in the Home Economics Department for 13 years, and was a member of the Cape County Professional Home Economists.
She earned a master's degree in education from Texas Women's University.
Mrs. Moxey is survived by her husband; a son and his wife, Ernie and Lisa Moxey of Sikeston, Mo.; two daughters and their husbands, Bonnie and Bob White of Cape Girardeau, Gayle and Ken Reeves of Ironton, Mo.; a brother and a sister, Keith Patton and Marlene Brammeier of Oakdale, Ill.; four grandchildren, Tim White and his wife, Dana, of Jackson, Mo., Jonathan and Brian Moxey of Sikeston, and Sharon Reeves of Ironton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Charlotte Moxey.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Dr. Andy Pratt officiating. Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.
