Bonnie Lucille Lipke, 91, of Jackson passed away Saturday, June 10, 2006, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born July 21, 1914, in Aurora, Ill., daughter of Charles and Laura Duke Talley. She and LeRoy C. Lipke were married May 2, 1934, in Aurora. He passed away June 4, 1983...

Bonnie Lucille Lipke, 91, of Jackson passed away Saturday, June 10, 2006, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 21, 1914, in Aurora, Ill., daughter of Charles and Laura Duke Talley. She and LeRoy C. Lipke were married May 2, 1934, in Aurora. He passed away June 4, 1983.

Mrs. Lipke was a former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aurora, where she was active in the JOY Group and a former officer of the Aurora East PTA and the first woman ever elected to the Aurora East District Board of Education.

In 1984 she moved to Jackson and transferred her membership to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. She was a member of the Ladies Aid. She was an avid quilter and seamstress, and enjoyed crocheting.

Loving survivors include two sons, Larry L. Lipke, and Alan K. (Sally) Lipke of Jackson; a daughter, Diane K. Drake of Sandwich, Ill; four grandchildren, Scott (Ashley) Lipke, and Lisa (Paul) White of Jackson, Julie (Germaine) Valentin of Montgomery, Ill., and Kurt (Jennifer) Kollwelter of De Kalb, Ill.; four great-grandchildren; a great-great grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Graveside service will be conducted at Lincoln Memorial Park in Aurora Thursday at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev Jock Ficken officiating.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Paul Lutheran School Foundation in Jackson.

McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson is in charge of local arrangements. Beverage Funeral Home in Sandwich will conduct graveside service.
