JONESBORO, Ill. -- Bonnetta Charles, 73, of rural Jonesboro died Saturday, Feb. 27, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 6, 1925, at Delta, Ill., daughter of Harry and Lou Gearing Goleaner. She and James E. "Cub" Charles were married June 17, 1942, at Jackson, Mo. He died Dec. 6, 1997.
Survivors include five sons, James Charles Jr. of McClure, Jerry Charles of Owensboro, Ky., Donald Charles of Dongola, Ron and David Charles, both of Jonesboro; two daughters, Sharon Phillips of Clarksville, Tenn., and Deborah Hengst of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Vertus Rall of Anna; 21 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, sister and granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Herbert Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Valley Mission Cemetery.
