CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Bobby "Bob" Tankersley, 75, died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, at Chaffee Nursing Center.
He was born Nov. 1, 1936, in Bessville, Mo., to Earnest and Mildred Lincoln Tankersley. He married Wanda Sullivan on Aug. 13, 1957.
Bob retired as a cutter at Florsheim Shoe Co. He was of the Baptist belief.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Tankersley of Chaffee; two sons, Robert (Celinda) Tankersley of Marble Hill, Mo., Scott (Beth) Tankersley of Glenallen, Mo.; two daughters, Jeannie (David) Groves of Perryville, Mo., Tina (Ricco) Readus of Jackson; five brothers, Bill Tankersley of Delta, Jerry Tankersley of Perkins, Mo., Doyle Tankersley of Jefferson City, Mo., Jimmy Tankersley of Millersville, Danny Tankersley of Gordonville; three sisters, Joyce Spane of Chaffee, Lois Douglas of Gordonville, Tina Minner of Jackson; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son and a daughter.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Rick Crump officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery at Perkins, Mo.
