BOBBY MARTIN

BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- Bobby Joe Martin, 57, of Bloomfield died Sunday, June 17, 2001, at Beverly Health Care.

He was born Sept. 30, 1943, in Van Vleet, Miss., son of Manly Bruce and Susie Newby Martin. He and Janice L. Brown were married Dec. 4, 1969, at Parma, Mo.

A resident of Bloomfield the past 35 years, he was a farmer.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Doug Martin of Essex, Mo., Darren Martin of Bloomfield; a daughter, Tammy Sperino of Dexter, Mo.; three brothers, Bruce Martin of Clarkton, Mo., William Martin of Guntown, Miss., Earl Martin of Anniston, Ala.; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. James Hook officiating. Burial will be in Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.
