Bobby Ray Hennecke, 59, of Cape Girardeau passed away Monday, March 5, 2012.
He was born Oct. 10, 1952, to the late Walter and Hazel Eakins Hennecke. Bob spent his childhood in Cape Girardeau and graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1971.
He later moved to Sullivan, Mo., where he began to raise a family. He worked at Olin Brass in Cuba, Mo. He recently moved back to Cape Girardeau, where he spent nearly every day volunteering at the Salvation Army. His interests included restoring old cars and riding his Harley motorcycle.
Survivors include two daughters, Jonelle Hizer and husband Matthew of Herndon, Va., Brooke Payne of Nellis Air Force Base, Nev.; a grandchild: Nolan Hizer; siblings and spouses, Anna Marie and Clarence (deceased) Brucker of New Hamburg, Mo., Frances and Horace Hitt of Cape Girardeau, Bill and Gail Hennecke of Cape Girardeau, Connie and Lonnie Myers of Marble Hill, Mo., Donna and Don Voorhes of Fruitland; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Along with his parents, Bob was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Lee and Charles Hennecke.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to service time March 17 at Zion Lutheran Church in Pocahontas.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. March 17 at the church.
Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan handled the arrangements.
Flowers may be sent to Zion Lutheran Church or donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
