PARMA -- Bobby Gene Mitchell, 67, of New Madrid, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 1996, at New Madrid Nursing Center. PARMA -- Bobby Gene Mitchell, 67, of New Madrid, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 1996, at New Madrid Nursing Center.

He was born Dec. 12, 1928, in Calhoun City, Miss., son of Thomas E. and Myrtle Angela Winters Mitchell.

Mitchell resided in Parma most of his life, moving to New Madrid 15 years ago. He was a retired carpenter.

Survivors include four daughters, Jeanie Massey, Angie Lalk and Cindy Hardin of New Madrid, Judy Jackson of Catron; a brother, Bill Mitchell of Barnhart; a sister, Mary Cannon of Derma, Miss.; five grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Perry Clark officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
