MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Bob L. Summers, 48, of Marble Hill died Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 28, 1953, in Chester, Ill., son of Robert Sylvester and Therese L. Colvis Summers. He and Helen Sue Rogers were married Nov. 30, 1974, in Bollinger County.
Summers worked at Wahlco D.W. Tool Inc. in Jackson, Mo. He attended the Church of Christ at Scopus, Mo. He was a member of Mended Hearts Chapter 261 at St. Francis Medical Center, National Rifle Association, North America Hunting Club and Eagles Aerie in Advance, Mo.
Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Rochelle Summers, Tyanna Shaffer and Tomisine Summers, all of Marble Hill, Bonnie Summers of St. Louis; a brother, Alphonse Summers of Leopold; three sisters, Janet Smithers and Marilyn Summers of Cut Off, La., Jocelyn Doiron of Galliano, La.; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and an infant sister.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Godwin officiating. Burial will be in Cook Cemetery near Scopus.
