Bob McNabb, 90, of Jackson passed away Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024, at Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau. He was born Dec. 9, 1933, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, to Thurman and Gladys Camp McNabb. On June 7, 1952, Bob united in marriage with Nancy Barringer in Wapato, Washington. Together, they built a life filled with love and shared experiences. Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories...

Bob McNabb, 90, of Jackson passed away Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024, at Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 9, 1933, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, to Thurman and Gladys Camp McNabb. On June 7, 1952, Bob united in marriage with Nancy Barringer in Wapato, Washington. Together, they built a life filled with love and shared experiences. Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories.

During his professional career, Bob served as an engineer with IBM, contributing to the field of information technology for an impressive 34 years. Following his retirement, he dedicated his remaining years to a different calling as a Methodist pastor, spreading faith and compassion to those he served in Kansas, Arkansas and Southeast Missouri.

Bob proudly served in the U.S. Army, demonstrating his commitment to his country and fellow citizens.

He is survived by his three sons, Steve (Denise) McNabb of Oroville, California, Dr. Jeffery (Nancy) McNabb of Cape Girardeau and Phillip (Lynn) McNabb of Montrose, Colorado; daughter, Karen (Rick) Delamater of Chamberlain, South Dakota; 10 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara McNabb English of Tarpon Springs, Florida.

Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy Ann McNabb, and his parents, Thurman and Gladys McNabb.

A celebration of life in honor of Bob McNabb will be held at a later date.

Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
