Bloyse O'dean Propst Sr., 73, of 1210 S. Sprigg died Saturday, Oct. 26, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born March 13, 1923, at Advance, son of Walter and Ella Mae Phillips Propst.
He lived most of his life in Cape Girardeau. He worked as a mechanic for McDowell Motors, Heuer Brothers, Wiethop, Tucker Truck Lines and Inman Truck Lines. He retired in 1988. He was of the Baptist denomination.
He and Morene Rampley were married Aug. 8, 1946, at Piggott, Ark. She died April 19, 1992.
Survivors include a son, Bloyse O. "Jay" Propst Jr. of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Brenda Walker of Columbia; two sisters, Lillie "Lil" Reynolds of Cape Girardeau and Lucille Smith of Jefferson City; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford & Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the chapel. Jim Seabaugh will officiate, with burial in Morgan Memorial Park Cemetery in Advance.
