EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Billy Wade Brewer of East Prairie will be held at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel. The Rev. George White will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery near here.

Brewer, 60, died Monday, Feb. 15, 1993, at his home.

He was born Feb. 15, 1933, in Lake County, Tenn., son of Newt and Verna Henderson Brewer. He and Mary Lou Davenport were married in October 1980.

Brewer was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife; seven sons, Glen Brewer of Mayfield, Ky., Steve Brewer of South Carolina, Doyle Brewer of Illinois, Newt Brewer of Sikeston, Tommy, Rodger and Ricky Brewer of East Prairie; four daughters, Christy Brewer of the home, Diane Osburn of Cape Girardeau, Mary Eastman of Jackson, Francis Hubbard of Iceland Air Force Base, Alaska.

Also surviving is his mother of East Prairie; four brothers, Eldred Brewer of Mayfield, David, Frankie and Mike Brewer of East Prairie; nine sisters, Barbara McAffee, Annie Chance, Brenda Riggins, Phyllis Williams, Kaye Youngblood, Donna Shands, Elizabeth Miller and Cordy Brewer of East Prairie, Verna Williams of Copton, Ala., and 16 grandchildren.
