MARBLE HILL -- Funeral service for Billy N. Amos of Esther will be held at 1 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Sidney Laxton will officiate, with burial in Union Light Cemetery at Marquand.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until service time.

Amos, 44, died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 1992, at John Cochran VA Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born Jan. 8, 1948, in Cape Girardeau, son of Nelson and Catherine Sanders Amos. He married the former Kathleen Laxton.

Amos had been a heavy equipment operator with a construction company.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Billy and Michael Amos of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Shannon Amos of Cape Girardeau; his parents of Delta; a brother, Steve Amos of Jackson, and a grandchild.
