Billy Myers

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Billy Joe Myers, 76, son of the late William Jackson and JoEtta Proctor Myers, was born July 25, 1945, in Chaffee and departed this life Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021, at his home in Chaffee.

On March 23, 1968, he was united in marriage to Diana Sue Martin in Reseda, California. She survives of the home in Chaffee.

He was a former employee of Procter & Gamble in Cape Girardeau, a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1961 until 1964, and was of the Baptist faith.

Besides his wife, survivors include two nephews, Bill Ray Myers and Will Roy Myers, both of Chaffee.

Besides his parents, Billy was preceded in death by a sister, Georgia Wessel.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee.

Funeral service will then be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Glenn Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
