EAST PRAIRIE -- Billy B. Lewis, 66, of Chattanooga, Tenn., died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 1997, at his home.
He was born June 15, 1931, in Johnsonville, Tenn., son of Henry and Ethel Bailey Lewis.
Lewis lived in Chicago most of his life, moving to Chattanooga in 1992. He was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose in Elmhurst, Ill.
He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and received two Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, and United Nations Service Medal.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Styzinski of New Lenox, Ill., Nancy Lewis of Northlake, Ill.; a son, Keith Lewis of Jonesboro, Ga.; four sisters, Mildred Pruitt of Chattanooga, Martha Hopgood of St. Louis, Bonnie Hoskins of Gleason, Tenn., Peggy Valentine of Paris, Tenn.; a brother, Henry Lewis of Villa Park, Ill.; and a grandson.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie, with Paul Lewis officiating.
Shelby Funeral Home at East Prairie is in charge of arrangements.
