BILLY JOE WALKER

RISCO -- Billy Joe Walker, 63, of Risco died at his home Friday, Jan. 19, 1996.

He was born May 12, 1932, at Risco, son of the late Jessie Walker, and Elaner Fowler Walker, who survives of Malden.

He lived in Risco his entire life, was a retired farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church of Risco.

On Jan. 8, 1951, he married Clara Ruth Holt at Piggott, Ark. She survives.

He is also survived by four sons, Bobby Joe and James Clinton Walker, both of DeSoto, Michael Anthony Walker of Tallapoosa, and Terry Lynn Walker of Malden; two daughters, Brenda Sue Whitson of Valles Mines and Jo Ann Walker of Risco; four brothers, Don and Leonard Walker, both of Malden, Willard Walker of Parma and Louis Walker of Risco; two sisters, Janie Wagner of Florida and Carolyn Way of Arkansas; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A daughter, brother and sister preceded him in death.

Friends may call at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m.

Funeral service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Danny McMullins of Risco officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Gilead Cemetery near Malden.
