MARION, Ill. -- Billy Joe Farmer, 72, of Marion, formerly of Cairo and Villa Ridge, Ill., died Saturday, March 5, 2011, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Marion.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service hour Tuesday at the Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ralph Kaufman officiating.

Burial will follow in Mound City National Cemetery with full military honors given by members of the Illinois National Guard Honors Details and area veterans.
