OLMSTED, Ill. -- Bill Russell Taylor, 64, of Olmsted, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 1992, at Daystar Care Center in Cairo. He was formerly of Cairo.
He was born Aug. 13, 1928, in Ullin, son of Russell G. and Rose Danner Taylor.
Taylor was a retired telegraph operator with Illinois Central Railroad, and veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include a son, Peter Taylor of Coah, Mexico; a brother, Fred Taylor of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; two half sisters, Sandi Names of Longview, Wash., and Melissa Jeffries of Lacey, Wash.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Barkett Funeral Chapel in Cairo. The Rev. Larry L. Potts will officiate, with burial in Mound City National Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Wednesday.
