SIKESTON -- William R. "Bill" Leonard, 66, of Sikeston, died Monday, Feb. 15, 1993, at his home.
He was born Nov. 23, 1926, in Hardin County, Ky., son of Clarence D. and Jennie Owens Leonard. He and Wanda Howard were married Nov. 28, 1950, in Oakland, Calif.
Leonard was owner/operator of Leonard's Heating and Air Conditioning. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, member and past president of Sikeston Kiwanis Club, and served a two-year term as lieutenant governor of Division 15 of Mo-Ark District of Kiwanis International. He was a past president of the Gideons and of the CB Club. He had been active in Girl Scouts.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Rick Leonard of Sikeston; three daughters, Soozi Hovis and Pam Yant of Sikeston, Sherrie Leonard of Bakersfield, Calif.; a brother, Clarence Leonard of Tucson, Ariz.; a sister, Lucille Karnish of Pottstown, Pa., and seven grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Jim Guffie will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
