OLMSTED, Ill. -- William J. Hannan, 83, Olmsted Route 1, died Friday, Aug. 21, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
He was born Nov. 11, 1914, in Olmsted, son of William and Caroline Egner Hannan Sr.
Hannan was a retired farmer, and member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Grand Chain.
Survivors include his wife, Marieta; three sons, Roger and Richard Hannan of Olmsted, William Hannan of Ullin; a daughter, Mary Gould of Coral Springs, Fla.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter and a son.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds after 6 p.m. Sunday. A prayer service will be held at 8.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Catherine's Church, with the Rev. Bill McGhee officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
