SIKESTON, Mo. -- William Howard "Bill" Edwards, 80, of Sikeston died Sunday, May 12, 2002, at his home.
He was born April 17, 1922, in Bloomfield, Mo., son of William Cleveland and Martha Louise Bennett Edwards. He and Sue Ellen Webber were married May 13, 1948.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He owned and operated the Sikeston Monument Company before retiring.
Survivors include his wife; a son, William Webb Edwards of Branson, Mo.; a daughter, Karen Sue Jones of Manchester, Mo.; a sister, Sheronda Hope Terrell of Sikeston; one grandchild, six stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three infant daughters.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. Masonic services will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral homem with the Rev. Doan Rogers and Charles Jones officiating. Burial, with full military honors, will be in Sikeston City Cemetery.
