SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Clyde "Bill" Brune, 73, of Sedgewickville passed away Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, at his home.

He was born July 29, 1938, at Lixville, Mo., son of O.H. and Mellie Crites Brune. He and Mary Ann Kurre were married July 19, 1958.

Bill attended the former Sedgewickville High School. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church of Friedheim, where he was a member of the Lutheran Men's Club and finance committee. He helped organize the North Bollinger County Neighborhood Watch Program in 1984, was a member of Farm Bureau and enjoyed participating in area shooting matches.

Loving survivors include his wife of 53 years; two sons, Douglas (Carolyn) Brune and Stephen D. (Angela) Brune of Sedgewickville; four grandchildren, J.D. (Heather) Brune of Jackson, Ashley (Justin) Koerber of Gordonville, Courtney Brune and Tyler Brune of Sedgewickville; three great-grandchildren, Ashtin, Adrianna and Christian; a brother, Kelly (Betty) Brune of Friedheim; three sisters, Verna Hobeck of Daisy, Jean Seems of Peoria, Ariz., and Dorothy (Rev. George) Buck of Parma, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Roger Steinbrueck officiating. Interment will be in Sedgewickville-Lixville Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church at Friedheim, Serenity Hospice or Sedgewickville-Lixville Cemetery.
