Beulah Spink Simpher of St. Peters, Mo., formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church. She was 94.
She was born Jan. 17, 1916, in Clarkton, Mo., the daughter of James A. Spink and Martha "Anna" Johnson Spink.
She was the dear wife of the late Fred "Ted" C. Simpher; the beloved mother of Richard J. Simpher and the late Phyllis J. Stoll and two infant sons; the precious grandmother of Karen Stoll Yarema, David (Betty) Stoll, Michael (Nancy) Stoll, Cathy (Jim) Buyno, Carrie (Jim) Simpher Benwell and Scott (Melissa) Simpher; great-grandmother of 12; great-great-grandmother of seven. She was our cornerstone and inspiration. She will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 6, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel, Cape Girardeau. Rosary and parish prayers will be at 6 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Sept. 7 St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau with interment in St. Mary's Cemetery to follow.
