MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Beulah M. James, 89, of Marble Hill passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at Woodland Hills Nursing Home. She was born Feb. 27, 1921, in Grassy, Mo., daughter of Jim and Rosa Moore Hill. She and Otha R. "Jack" James were married Oct. 5, 1946. He died Feb. 12, 1979...

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Beulah M. James, 89, of Marble Hill passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at Woodland Hills Nursing Home.

She was born Feb. 27, 1921, in Grassy, Mo., daughter of Jim and Rosa Moore Hill. She and Otha R. "Jack" James were married Oct. 5, 1946. He died Feb. 12, 1979.

Beulah was a laminator 30 years at the hat factory in Marble Hill. She was a member of VFW Post 5900 Ladies Auxiliary and Brush Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Bill James of Marble Hill; three daughters, Chris Myers of Marble Hill, Kathy McLeery of Cape Girardeau, Oneta Wolfe of Laurie, Mo.; a brother, Marvin Hill of Marble Hill; a sister, Beatrice James of Marble Hill; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and four sisters.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gene Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
