BETTY WEATHERS

BERNIE, Mo. -- Betty June Weathers, 43, of Bernie died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2000, in Bethesda, Md.

She was born Feb. 1, 1957, at Bernie, daughter of James William and Ruby Alma Quinn Smiley. She and Clyde Weathers Jr. were married Dec. 1, 1973, in Bernie.

Weathers was a custodian and substitute bus driver with Bernie School System several years. She was a dispatcher and driver with Stoddard County Transit, and was pastor of the Church of God of Prophecy.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Clinton Weathers of New Baden, Ill., James and Michael Weathers of Bernie; three brothers, Gary Minney of Ladysmith, Va., Rusty Adams of Ellsinore, Mo., Tim Smiley of Bernie; three sisters, Kay Herrington and Eva Canoy of Bernie, Alice McCarthy of Malden, Mo.; and a granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at Rainey Funeral Home in Bernie from 5-8 p.m. Friday.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bernie Cemetery.
