Betty McCulley Parker, 83, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015, at her home in Saxony Village.
She was born June 13, 1932, in Clarksville, Arkansas, to Homer Herbert and Emma Parsons Atkinson. She and Wayne McCulley were married in 1955 at Bell City, Missouri. He passed away in 1994. She later married John Parker in 2008 in Cape Girardeau. He passed away in 2013.
From 1959 until her death, she was very active in her church, Cape First. Betty was owner/operator more than 30 years of several assisted-living facilities, including Country Gardens in Cape Girardeau, Sunshine Villa in Scott City, Oak Ridge Manor in Oak Ridge, Maple Crest Manor and Frederick Street Manor in Cape Girardeau, Heritage Hills in Patton, Missouri, and Jefferson Manor in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include two sons, Larry and Kevin McCulley of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Kim Foulk of Whitewater; two brothers, J.D. Atkinson of Wood River, Illinois, and Arlis (Linda) Atkinson of Bradenton, Florida; two sisters, Naomi Newman and Ann Wagganer of Cape Girardeau; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, two brothers, two sisters and both husbands.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Gary Brothers officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
