CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Betty May Jane Bass, 64, of Carbondale, formerly of Tamms, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 1994, at her home. Bass was born May 30, 1930, in Thebes, Ill., to Joseph Franklin Bigham and Dorothy Eugena Lonord Bigham. CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Betty May Jane Bass, 64, of Carbondale, formerly of Tamms, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 1994, at her home.

Bass was born May 30, 1930, in Thebes, Ill., to Joseph Franklin Bigham and Dorothy Eugena Lonord Bigham.

Bass was a member of the Rockhill Baptist Church of Carbondale and a former member of the United Pentecostal Church in Karnak.

She was a nurse aide.

She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Bass of Carbondale; four brothers, Eugene Roseman, Arlington Heights, Joseph Bigham Jr., of Anna, Jesse Bigham of Phoenix, Ariz., and William Bigham of Thebes; and three sisters, Dorothy Hamm of North Lake, Ruth Copeland of Chicago and Virginia Plumly of Brookfield.

Bass was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Logan Bass.

Arrangements were incomplete at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms.
