MARSTON -- Betty B. Long, 72, of Marston died Monday, July 19, 1999, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born July 12, 1927, in Osceola, Ark., daughter of John and Anna Lax Warr. She and Eddie Long Sr. were married in 1949.
Long was a cook at Lilbourn Schools 14 years. She was a member of Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Senior Choir, Friendship District Choir, 4-H Club, and Community Betterment Organization.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Kay Long of St. Louis; 10 sons, the Rev. Donald Long of Sweeney, Texas, Ezzard Long of East St. Louis, Ill., James, Adron and Artie Long of St. Louis, Lawrence Long of Norfolk, Va., Warren Long of Las Vegas, Nev., Reginald Long of Corpus Christi, Texas, Eddie Long Jr. and Booker Long of Marston.
Also surviving is a brother, the Rev. John Warr of Detroit, Mich.; 34 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, two brothers, four grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Good Hope Church. The Rev. Quincy Keeble Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Mason Cemetery at Point Pleasant.
Friends may call at the church Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time.
