She was born April 11, 1934, in Vanduser, Mo., daughter of Chester and Norma R. Campbell. As a child she enjoyed exploring her surroundings whenever she found time alone. In addition to being a dutiful and devoted wife and mother, Betty Sue could sew and craft together anything she pleased. Cooking, gardening and entertaining came natural to her as well.
