BETTY LAPLANT

CHARLESTON -- Funeral for Betty Sue LaPlant of Charleston will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Martin Lucas will officiate. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.

LaPlant, 73, died Thursday, May 11, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Oct. 7, 1926, at Charleston, daughter of Paul D. and Mae Bryant Davis. She and Bernell LaPlant were married Nov. 7, 1943.

LaPlant lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Brenda French of Charleston, Bonnie Pullen of Bertrand; a stepson, Lynn LaPlant of Jackson, Miss.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.
