Betty Louise Swob, 2464 Brookwood, died Thursday, June 2, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born Jan. 29, 1930, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Walker G. and Louise McElroy Childs. She and Ralph Eugene Swob were married May 6, 1951, in Cape Girardeau. He died July 27, 1985...

Betty Louise Swob, 2464 Brookwood, died Thursday, June 2, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Jan. 29, 1930, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Walker G. and Louise McElroy Childs. She and Ralph Eugene Swob were married May 6, 1951, in Cape Girardeau. He died July 27, 1985.

The Swobs and her father were co-owners of Childs Foods and Mr. C's Foodliner. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Rose Hills Garden Club, and former office manager of SEMO District Fair Board.

Survivors include her stepmother, Lona Childs of Cape Girardeau.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Revs. Neil Stein and Larry Gallamore officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
