Betty F. "Goff" Gregory, 77, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, at Auburn Creek Assisted Living in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 20, 1937, in Sherman, Missouri, to the late Herbert F. and Elizabeth Sheeley Goff. Betty and Howard E. Gregory were married June 7, 1955, in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death Oct. 21, 2014.
Betty worked at F.W. Woolworth in the Town Plaza for 32 years. She also worked at Sanders True Value Hardware until becoming ill in 1997. Betty loved her grandchildren, spending time with all of her family, as well as singing, dancing, fishing and camping.
Survivors include daughters, Cathy (Butch) Dirnberger of Oran, Missouri, and Karen Gregory of Cape Girardeau; grandchildren, Sara (Elliot) Maschmann of Oran, Katie (Chris) Graviett of Oran and Tori Ourth of Cape Girardeau; special grandchildren, Shaun, Lori, Cody, Shane and Karen Dirnberger all of Oran; sisters, Virginia Hopkins of Bloomfield, Missouri, and Dorothy Kight of St. Louis; brothers, Allen (Phyllis) Goff of Stuarts Draft, Virginia, and Jim (Peggy) Goff of Lakeland, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and six brothers.
Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ronnie Stevens officiating. Committal service will be at 3 p.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Crown Hospice or Breast Cancer Awareness.
