SCOTT CITY -- Betty Jane Estes, 67, of Imperial died Thursday, Nov. 14, 1996, at Lake Ozark General Hospital in Osage Beach.
She was born July 15, 1929, at Commerce, daughter of Alvin "Tiny" and Vera McGee Held. She and Raymond Miller were married Aug. 12, 1945. He died April 19, 1970.
Estes was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City.
Survivors include a son, Joseph Miller of St. Charles; four daughters, Judy Martin of Cape Girardeau, Mary Nordin of Imperial, Marilyn Whitmer of Tucson, Ariz., Karen Miller of Arnold; three brothers, Fred Held of Kelso, Robert Held of Festus, Tommy Held of St. Ann; six sisters, Virginia O'Brien of Scott City, Deloris Morrill and Donna Carr of Oran, Dorothy Ingvalson and Debbie Gill of Cape Girardeau, Sharon Hillemann of Little Rock, Ark.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
