ST. CHARLES, Mo. -- Betty Lou Dowd, 88, of St. Charles and formerly of Marble Hill, Missouri, passed away Monday, Oct. 11, 2021, at Delmar Gardens in Chesterfield, Missouri.
She was born April 13, 1933, in Marble Hill, daughter of Oliver and Thelma Baker Kirkpatrick. She married Dale J. Dowd on April 28, 1951, and he passed away Aug. 14, 1985.
Betty was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Dianna Breeden of Warrenton, Missouri; brother, Gary (Darlene) Kirkpatrick of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren, John D., Sarah and Jared; and two great-grandchildren, Emmett and Liam.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale; parents, Oliver and Thelma; and son-in-law, John Breeden.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
Funeral service will follow at noon with the Rev. Randy Shrum officiating. Burial will be in the Old Union Cemetery near Bessville, Missouri.
