Betty Jane Berry Chisum, 87, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, July 17, 201,0 at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.

She was born Dec. 19, 1922, in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Arthur Wayne and Addie Louise Yaggi Berry.

She and Robert M. Chisum were married July 12, 1946, in Cape Girardeau.

Betty was a 1941 graduate of Central High School and 1945 graduate of Southeast Missouri State Teachers College. She taught at Franklin School.

Survivors include her husband, Robert M. Chisum of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Carol Randol of Columbia, Mo., Barbara (Don) Seabaugh of Overland Park, Kan.; two grandchildren, Kristen Randol of Columbia, Sara Seabaugh and husband Andrew Kelly of Overland Park; one great-grandson, Jackson Seabaugh Kelly; one niece, Janice (Bob) Shirley of Cape Girardeau; and three nephews, John (Nola) Chisum of Bourbonnais, Ill., Bill (Roberta) Berry of Estes Park, Colo., Harvey Berry of Richmond, Va.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Ronald J. Randol; two brothers; and a sister.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gary Hoffstetter officiating.

Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be given to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
