Betty Jo Bailey, 89, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 3, 1928, in Malden, Missouri, to Charles B. and Ethel M. Breedlove Patterson.
She worked for Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator more than 20 years and later at the Kmart Store in Cape Girardeau for more than 20 years.
She was a member of Church of Christ.
Survivors include a daughter, Pam (Mike) Busch of Olathe, Kansas; a brother, Victor (Lety) Patterson of Cape Girardeau; a grandchild, Stacy (Shane) Fugita of Littleton, Colorado; a niece, Lety M. (Chuck Strassburger) Patterson of O'Fallon, Missouri; a nephew, Victor B. (Angie) Patterson of Monticello, Illinois; two great-grandchildren, Preston (Spencer) Fugita and Kelsey Fugita; a great-nephew, Jacksen Strassburger; and two great-nieces, Amelia Patterson and Tori Patterson.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
A private graveside service will be Wednesday at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Jordan Bishop officiating.
